I am new to yoga – where do I start?

At Bobble, we welcome everyone new! We frequently run beginners’ courses and workshops, which can be a great place to start. If that’s not your thing or you cannot see it on the schedule, join any of our classes and let the teacher know you are new; you’ve come to the right place to get started!  

I am pretty sure I cannot do yoga. I am not flexible and cannot touch my toes!

Well then your place is definitely at Bobble! Our approach is gentle and allows everyone to be able to practice yoga. We also use props to learn the alignment of the different asanas (poses). You will get the same benefits of the postures, whether you can touch your toes or not, so we can only encourage you to join a Bobble class and inflexible-away!

What is the minimum age of attending a yoga class?

Whilst our teachers have certain specifications, at Bobble, we do not yet offer Yoga for Children. So the minimum age of attending a class is 18.

What is the maximum age of attending a yoga class?

There is no maximum age and you are right when you think that you are never too old to start practicing yoga. Get in touch if you have any questions or just come and join one of our classes to get started.

I had bad experiences with other yoga classes before. Why do you think your classes are different?

Bobble concentrates on each individual in our classes, embracing the specific person’s abilities, their progress compared to themselves and nourish the idea of our bodies feeling differently not only depending on our abilities, but even depending on the specific day. Our approach is specific to empowering ourselves within this space.

I am pregnant, can I come to your class?

We’d love for you to have the best experience possible, which is why we recommend that you find a yoga class specifically created for pregnant women. We are happy to help so do get in touch you’d like us to help find an appropriate Prenatal Yoga Class for you in town.

Do I need to book classes before attending?

We do recommend booking classes, but it is not mandatory. It’s recommended and we made it easy-peasy for you to do the booking, so that you can make sure that you have your place for your favourite class reserved! We do, however, welcome Drop Ins on the day.

How do I book a class?

Trust us, it’s super easy! Simply click here, choose your class and follow the instructions on the screen. You’ll even get the option to add the class to your calendar at the end!

How much does a class cost?

Our classes cost £8. Some classes e.g. private and workshops / retreats will be priced differently; and full information is available under the description of each item. If you’re ever unsure, just drop us a note at adri@bobbleyoga.com and we’ll be happy to help!

I have a serious medical condition. Can I come to any of your classes?

We ask you to fill out our medical in-take form upon the first time of joining Bobble Yoga. We prefer to talk through any medical conditions, serious or otherwise, with you prior to your first class, to ensure the best experience possible. Simply get in touch here for more information.

What should I eat before the class?

We would advise not to eat 2-3 hours before your class, and plan to have your breakfast after a morning session. Yoga asanas (postures) feel the best when your tummy is not full.

Is meditation involved?

We define meditation as bringing our awareness and object to one focus point, so in that sense, the answer is yes. We bring our focus primarily to our physical practice and connecting with our breath throughout the classes. There might be some classes that do not involve asanas (physical poses) and focus on meditation specifically, these are always indicated as you book.

I am experiencing stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, anxiousness. Which of your classes are for me?

Essentially any. The style followed during our classes has a meditative effect, as we direct our focus on our breath and away from the outside world. Prior to your first class, we’ll ask you to fill in an in-take form and if we see that you may be experiencing any of the above, the teacher will have a private chat with you and ensure that the class is appropriate for you.
